WESG 2017 will bring together the best of the best

The global world championship among the national teams WESG 2017 will bring together the best of the best in CS:GO, Dota 2, StarCraft 2 and Hearthstone disciplines. However, this time the tournament will be attended by women competitors as well: CS:GO and HS will have separate women divisions as well as in Dota 2 and StarCraft II both genders can take a part.

WESG 2017 will kick off with regional qualifiers in Europe and America. The players and teams will have to pass the qualifying stages in their countries in order to reach the regional quals. The best national teams and players in individual disciplines in each region will get an opportunity to stand for their countries at the Grand FInal, held in March of 2018.

The prize fund of WESG 2017 Grand Final amounts to $3,921,400. As in the previous year, a part of the prize pool will be offered on the LAN-finals of regional qualifiers: $202,800 for Americas and $279,800 for Europe.

In each of the regional LAN-finals, aside from the prize money, will be offered spots in the Grand Final of WESG 2017. In total, the final stage will be reached by 72 squads in Dota 2 and CS:GO, including 8 women teams. Besides, 72 spots more will be granted to the players in individual disciplines of StarCraft 2 and Hearthstone.

StarLadder will hold American and European qualifiers, as well as the majority of qualifiers in the sub-regions. "Russia" sub-region will be hosted by U CAN COMPANY (UCC), "Iberia" sub-region by Baskonia Group and "Benelux" sub-region by Blammo Media B.V. & SEG Esports B.V. Women division in "Benelux" sub-region will be played online.
