WESG Dota 2 Americas: Day Two Review

The second day of the American LAN-finals WESG in Dota 2 has marked the end of a group stage and kicked a start of the first Playoff’s matches. Now we have the final list of squads, who will stand for America at the WESG Global Grand Finals, with a total prize fund amounted to ¥24 650 000 (~ $3 700 000).

Recall that by the outcome of yestreday’s matches, Kingao+4, Vultur and Dilecom secured the 1-3 places among Group «А» and were the first to get hold of tickets to the WESG Grand-finals. 

Today we’ve witnessed the clashes within Group «B». Remaining undefeated, the Infamous Gaming secured the upper hand in the group. The second and third lines of the tournament table are occupied by TShow and Team One. The last place went to the Mexican squad Learn2Gank.

Thus, was formed the list of 6 lucky owners of tickets to the WESG Global Grand Finals: 

— Kingao+4
— Vultur Team
— Dilecom
— Infamous Gaming
— Team One
— TShow

Rebirth Esports and Learn2Gank stopped at the 7-8th place and are granted the cash prize of ¥20 000. The other teams will compete for the remaining prize pool within the Playoffs.

The second match-day was finished with the matches of Relegation Round, a victory in which let the teams advance to the semifinals. In the first game TShow overwhelmed Vultur, while in the second — Dilecom won over Team One. Vultur Team and TO are taking 5-6th place, taking home ¥20 000.

Tomorrow, on October 23, we will see as Kingao+4, Infamous Gaming, TShow and Dilecom will compete for a champion’s trophy of the LAN-qualifiers WESG Dota 2 Americas and a main prize of ¥200 000.
